i canz be odd.

My last few blogs have been very depressing, and I'm sorry for that. No more of that. RANT TIME.

Telstra. It's no news I hate them. I do. I have had internet, mobiles, and home phones through them. The whole package. The problems?

Telstra Mobile. No big problems, except the plan is SHIT. $40 gets you $40 credit, 100 text and 100 minutes of calls. Now Vodafone gets $49 get's you $300 (I think, can't remember) of credit, for text and call, alot better. Optus $40 get's you $400 credit. $200 to any network, the other $200 Optus2Optus, plus 150Mb internet time, and if you recharge before the credit expires, it rolls over. I love Optus.

Telstra home phone. If you set up internet with it you are supposed to get 100 or so free local phone calls. Have had it connected toghether for almost a year and a half, and still not done, even tho I complain monthly.

AND finally, internet. There so call 'unlimited' internet. It's 25Gb of ADSL+ speed, then DIAL UP SPEED! Freaking dial-up. Wasn't that outlawed. The next highest plan is 60Gb, but instead of cutting off to dial-up (which I would prefer) it costs you for ever $0.15 for every Mb over. Not much right? WRONG! I signed up for this last month when my internet speed went WAY to quick. I went 3Gb over. $450! BUT WAIT, because I switched mid month, they worked it out to be $1400+. Since they didn't explain it fully, my mother managed to get out of it, and only pay the price, which was $150.

Optus internet gives you 80gb. 40gb on peak (which is 12p-12a) and 40Gb off-peak (12a-12p) which I love, and has been the best price I've seen so far. I trust Optus. My first phone was an Optus plan. I've had all the others (Telstra, Vodafone) but none of them come close to even the customer service. Granted, it's an over seas call centre, so you get people with accents, and like many companies they will piss you off somehow, but in the long run, I have always been happiest with them.

If you are thinking of switching mobiles, land line or internet, I strongly reccoment them.

This has been Christopher Lane, and as always, remember Satan>Telstra. Bye.
