Ok, not on actual God, but I have to write something NOW.
On my previous blog, I wrote how much I loved Pocket God, then they go and write this in the game
"Show your appreciation for Pocket God and help support future updates. Instead of charging for updates, we are providing fans fun "extras" that they can buy, but do not affect core game-play. Those who cannot afford it, or aren't interested will still get all the updates FREE! Thanks for checking out the custom pack store"
This annoyed me, and I'm going to tell you why.
Now yes, I understand you have to make money, but the app is already a paid app, so you're making money there. Now, all these packs are good, sure, I'm not saying we should get the packs for free, but my main annoyances are:
"Instead of charging for updates"
and
"Those who cannoy afford it, or aren't interested will still get all the updates FREE!"
Ok, all updates of all iPhone apps are free. You have NO say in charging for updates (that I know of) and I don't think Apple's app store would be popular if they allowed devs to charge for bug fixes, or additions to the game.
The devs of PG may be saying "We could create another game for each chapter" but again, I don't actually think Apple would accept them.
Second annoyance is the price. At the moment all you can update is the dinosaur. You can update the skin, give it a hat, and a tattoo. Only one of each, and it costs you the price of the app to do it ($1.19) if it was like a 'Dino pack' with everything included, then sure, why not. But come on, that's a bit steep in the long run. You could end up spending an extra $6 just for all of them.
While I still think it's a good app, that you should buy if you want to waste a minute every now and then (you will never get more then 2 minutes of enjoyment out of the game, except the first few times after you bought it) I think the way they have phrased it is BS.
That's all from me, blogger keeps shitting up and making random sentences Times New Roman font, and I don't want that on this blog. BYE.
