Well, as alot of you know, since I announce at anytime, I have an iPhone. I also get bored easily, so enter in, the apps.
That is the key benefit of an iPhone, the app store. Plus iPhones are the best. Now, I know alot of people will say "iPHONES SUCKS!, bla bla bla phone is better" which may be true (no it's not) but think of this, every (and by every, I mean most) of the new touch screen phones have taken the look of an iPhone. Mainly the icon look. Anyway, drifting from my point. APPS. The best part of an iPhone, and I am here to review them. Not all. Not even all of my phone, just the best and worst.
Ok, let's begin.
Now, as soon as you get an iPhone, and you have social media stuff, that's what you'll usually get. Now Facebook, Myspace, AIM, all those things have their own app, so not alot to compare too, but if I was to review.
Facebook- Brilliant UI on it. The only bad thing is when you turn it on it's side, it changes to landscape, but that's true with most apps.
Myspace-I don't really use Myspace. It's old. The app is annoying, as the main page is essentially your profile, and you have to click each thing to see what friends have updated. Unless you use Myspace alot, not a big point of getting it.
eBay- It's good for checking your bids on the go, but I don't really use it that heavily. If I really want to look for something, I use the computer. Still a good app.
Now onto things that don't have apps.
MSN. Now alot of people use it, and you'l want a nice clean app. I never use paid apps for things like this, I find it shit, that the company puts it and then YOU (the app developer) makes money from it. These are the apps I have used for it:
Nimbuzz- Not sure how long I used it for, but not that long. I didn't like the UI, and I think it froze a dew times and stuff.
Palringo- This was my first MSN app. I liked it, UNTIL they suddenly stuck ads in it and then made a paid app. Ads are ALWAYS a big no-no for me with apps like that. As soon as that came in I deleted it. That's when I got Nimbuzz I think.
eBuddy- What can I say, it's free, brilliant UI, and does more then just MSN. This is the BEST one I have found so far, and I'm sure it'll be the best MSN app out there.
Now onto apps you should REALLY have on your iPhone.
Ping!- It was free, but now it's $1.19, and I like apps that do that. They kind of, reward the people who got it first. They don't leave it free for a while, then go "FUCK YOU ALL!" stick ads in it, and then make a paid one. Even if they did, I'm pretty sure I'd buy the paid one, since it's AWESOME. It's an iPhone2iPhone messenger. It works over internet, for a very small price. If you have even 1 friend with an iPhone, then get it.
Did someone say Twitter? No, well I did. Twitter apps are plentiful in the app store. I want Twitter to release their own, but until they do, here's a review of the others-
Twitterific- Download, saw ads, got rid of. Plus it was slow.
Twinkle- My first ever Tiwtter app. I liked it, but the UI bored me after a while. I made a few followers from it. It's a location based app that shows people within 5k-300k away from you. I still have it now, I just don't use it.
Twitterfon (now Echofon)- Used it, it got ads, and they made a paid one. I do not like it.
Tweetdeck- Free. No Ads. Great UI. Get it naow.
BlogPress- Have a blogspot? Wanna post on the go? Get this. It's $4 and my most expensive non-game app purchase. If you are a big blogger, then get it.
Pocket cinema- An app to tell you when movies are on a Bitch carroll and coyle cinemas. It's not an app I use often, but it is good for quick look at time, when you get bored. If you go to a BCC a few times a month or so, I'd get it. Or just download it if you ever need to know movie times. It's free, and a small file. Only a few seconds to download from the app store.
WoW Armory- There were a few non-blizzard ones out there before, and they were good, but the Blizzard one is awesomely sweet. Check your quilds raid times, character info, and all the cool stuff on the go. Makes me wish I still played.
Games times.
I'm done reviewing, so these apps you should download now.
Mafia Wars
Vampire wars
Street Racing
All free. If you do, add me to the crew yo. ID is 7303 2810 57 for all 3.
Pocket God- It's $1.19(AUD) and updates almost weekly with new content. ATM it's about 13Mb, and it rules! But it now.
And, the last 3;
Tap Tap Revenge- Free
Tap Tap Revenge 2- Free
Tap Tap Revenge 3- $1.19
Bye.
