So today I played Aion. My pal Kirt has wanted to get it for a while, and was trying to rope me in to buy it with him. It's $90 plus you need a time card, so pretty damn steep, and I'm not one to spend money spontaneously *cough* so I wanted to try it out first.
Aion does not have any trial, so a definite point against it there. You have to invest $100+ dollars just to try it out.
He did end up getting it, so I managed to finally play it on his friend Scotts account.
I made a male scout named Pwnachu. I kinda regret calling it that, since if I do get the game, I can't call him that.
My thoughts on the game.
It looks like WoW, except cleaner graphics. Obviously the game is only a year old. Maybe younger, not sure, and WoW has been out since 2004, so that could be the reason for that. It still gets a point for that.
The land looks exactly like WoW, and my guy reminded me of a Knight Elf.
When you die, you don't become a ghost like in WoW. I know, it can't be exactly the same. Instead of being a ghost, you revive in the starting zone. Whenever you get to a new zone, you have to bind to the area. Good idea, sure, EXCEPT you then have to shell out money to bind. A point loss to that.
Questing annoys me. I'm used to the whole ? and ! for quests, I still can't tell what and who has quests. Points loss for that.
Leveling up was a bit annoying to. Level 1-3 took 113 XP, and then another 4000 XP. I can't really remember WoW levelling, but I don't think it was that much of a leap. WoW 1-10 took me only a few hours to get to, which was good. I like the levels being a bit easier, until you get a bit higher. Might just be me, but minus a point again.
SPAM. So much spam in the game to. WoW you can read the conversations with people. It also has there name, and report spam function. None of that in WoW. Minus another point again.
At level 10, you can fly tho. For 1 minutes at first and it builds up, so a point to that. I just like to fly.
There was a few more things. I really should've had a notebook to jot them down.
Aion got a score of -1. Now, I don't like the game. I would strongle reccomend WoW over it. If you have played WoW for ages and want a new game, I would go that game, or do what I'm doing, and wait for ToR (Star Wars: The Old Republic) to go on sale.
The other things I was going to review is Fired Up!
Fired Up! is your typical douche sleeps with every girl, finds a girl he likes, then changes his way movie. Except in this one, there's 2 douches. I must say tho, it was a good movie. Sure you pretty much knew the ending from the start, but still good. I enjoyed playing "HEY LOOK!*" while watching it. I rate it a 3/5 stars, or a B/B+ depending on which scale you want to use.
That's all from me, I've been Christopher Lane, and I like to blog.
*HEY LOOK! is the game where you find people from your favourite shows in movies. I found 1 cast member of Greek, A guest star from Greek, and a cast member of Secret Life of The American Teenager.
